Rebel’s Storm paddle is good to have on board as a spare when conditions are rough or real strong winds blow up. Paddle blade size is the same as on our standard paddle, but here with a short loom. Storm also makes a great paddle to learn a multitude of rolling styles.
On the bottom of the loom the shoulders are pronounced to create an index for your thumbs to sit. The top side is smoother for a softer grip on the paddle. The advantage of a wooden paddle is that you can customize it for a personal grip or feel. You can whittle or sand away a little bit at the time until you find the perfect grip for you. Regular re-oiling with linseed oil, tung oil or similar will prolong the life of your paddle and will enhance the beauty and strength of your Rebel paddle.
Please remember that our paddles are not mass produced but crafted by the hands of experienced artisans. The weight & color of paddles can vary as they are made out of wood.
We recommend Storm Greenland Paddle as a spare paddle, as a second paddle on board when You go for one or few days trip. It’s also good practise paddle, when You’re learning roll.
